Residential @ Grittleton House 2023 Day 2

17 May 2023 (by admin)

Greetings from our second day at Grittleton!

Day 2 started with a fine, if slightly bleary eyed, breakfast time following the first night. Each of the four groups had an action packed day working their way round a range of activities. The children thoroughly enjoyed bouncing into one another Body Zorbing, racing around in Karting, combining basketball with trampolining in Aeroball, hitting the target in Archery, working as a team in Problem Solving and tackling the mysterious Mission X. The day concluded with a night hike around the wonderful grounds. One other highlight was the soup at lunchtime where seconds, thirds and fourths were all devoured.

An action packed, sunny, tiring day all round.

Some of the children have asked to take over the blog today. Here’s what they wanted to share about their time so far!

Sophia: "Aero-ball was the most amazing activity! It was like trampolining and basketball all thrown together in one awesome package."
Eve: "Body-zorbing was my favourite. It was really fun to get your energy out in this awesome activity. Playing football as a giant football was my favourite bit."
Seb: "I enjoyed problem solving. We all got together and had to solve a series of challenge. As a team, we had to crack codes and find challenging solutions to some tough puzzles."
Will: "I loved karting! You could pull off some awesome drifts and design your own course."
