What is Friends of the School?
We are a registered charity run by a dedicated group of parents who volunteer to support the school by organising events and fundraising activities. We work closely with the school, pupils and parents to provide much-needed additional funds for extra educational activities and resources.
We do this by organising fun events for the whole school community throughout the year and by offering practical support to the school wherever we can.
Throughout the year we run children-only events such as the Disco, Elfridges and the Easter Egg Hunt; family events such as our annual BOLT, cake sales and sports day refreshments; and adult-only events like our ever-popular Quiz Night.
Last year (2024–2025), we raised an amazing £14,437.88!
Why Do We Need FOS?
This additional funding makes an incredible difference to the school and the development of our children. With school budgets increasingly stretched, FOS raises essential funds to help subsidise swimming lessons, school trips, visits from theatre groups, and individual class resources such as reading books and new laptops.
We have also funded a variety of school projects, including costumes for the Christmas play and several summer productions, new playground markings, and additional playground equipment. Every year group benefits from FOS support.
Can You Help?
FOS cannot exist without the generosity and support of parents and carers. We simply wouldn’t be able to continue without you. We welcome new ideas and would love to hear from anyone who would like to get involved.

Can be through your weekly shop, utilities or even booking a holiday! Click on the link to find out more. We have already raised £610 with families using this app.
