FOS Sports Results
In April, ten Y5 children took part the Xperience Archery competition run at KLB school. They all had a fabulous time and even though most had no previous experience they finished an excellent 4th out of 15 schools……well done!
Year 1 children attended the annual Multi-skill Festival at KLB school and even though the weather wasn’t great, they really enjoyed taking part in all the different activities.
In May, the Year 4 children also went to KLB for the District Quad Kids Tournament. This involved four athletic disciplines: 50m Sprint, 400m Run, Vortex Throw and Long Jump. Both teams had some good results finishing 6th and 7th and it was a great experience.
Eight children from year 3 and 4 played in the District Mini-Red Tennis tournament against 6 other schools. Against some tough competition, there were some excellent performances from the two teams, finishing 3rd and 5th
Little Stoke XC
Ten children from KS2 entered the Little Stoke XC competition and had some excellent results across the board. George, Will and Joseph qualified to run in the invitation race at the Festival of Youth Sport in June.
Unfortunately, due to terrible weather, the Y5/6 festival had to be cancelled, however, a team from Y3/4 went to Bristol YMCA Club and played some fabulous cricket. In the preliminary round they won all their matches which saw them go through to the semi-final. Sadly, they were
narrowly beaten by a very good Bristol team.
In June, a team of Y1/2 boys (see below) took part in the Indoor Football Festival at Chipping Sodbury School. The festival was a round robin event where all teams played against each other and our Trinity boys had a really enjoyable afternoon. They also played brilliantly as a team and managed to win all their games!
