Science: Float a Boat

In Science, we put our boat designs to the test to see which would hold the most marbles before sinking. An amazing 76 was the record! We learnt that the forces of gravity and upthrust were balanced when the boat was afloat. Surface area and the height of the sides were key to success.

KS2 Coleshill Trips

Pupils from Elm, Oak and Beech classes had a great day out last week at Coleshill Estate.  We learnt about Churchill’s ‘secret underground army’, the British resistance network set up in case of a German invasion.  Highlights were code-breaking and exploring the underground bunker.  What a fantastic insight into the world of espionage!
